Overall Project Management:
- Lead and manage a large-scale Data Centre Migration Project involving the transition of close to 10,000 virtual machines from a current incumbent technology provider to two new technology providers, within a hypervisor-based environment.
- Lead and manage migration of physical servers, storage, network equipment and appliances between Data Centres.
- Oversee the two vendor migration tracks, based on a workload distribution ratio of approximately between the two platforms, ensuring clear accountability, progress tracking, and vendor performance management.
- Drive the project across its full lifecycle (estimated 2.5 years), covering planning, infrastructure design, build, cutover, and post-migration stabilization, in compliance with the bank’s regulatory, security, and risk management frameworks.
- Responsible for coordinating with infra delivery resources required to complete the infrastructure build, and implementation, working with the infrastructure architects, the engineering team, and the build team.
- Highlight and resolve any conflicting resource, timeline, or unrealistic expectation of infrastructure delivery/build time.
- Monitor and analyse the implementation of each infrastructure project. Recommend re-prioritisation based on the sensitivity, urgency, priority, and type of projects (e.g. compliance/regulatory) and the approval requirement.
- Consolidate the plan against the actual end-to-end cost required to deliver infrastructure projects. Recommend optimization of cost by consolidating similar infrastructure components and timelines.
- Responsible and track the quality, scope, timeline, effort (co-related to estimation, CR’s, complexity), resources (includes GTO, business, contractor, Professional Services resources as well as operations),
- Develop and execute the overall project plan and analyse project proposals which impacts the schedule and budget variance which in turn contribute to meeting the overall objectives of the project.
- Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks.
Stakeholder Management & Vendor Management:
- Partner respective project stakeholders for collaboration and manage external vendors.
- Collaborate with infrastructure architects, engineering teams, and build teams to plan infrastructure sizing, validate technical designs, and ensure timely execution of the build and implementation activities.
Scope Management:
- Manage all changes to the agreed scope of work review and assess all changes, impact to timeline, and ensure all changes are approved by PSC
Project Governance & Compliance:
- Prepare and present investment decks for project approvals at ITC/TPWC. Organize and lead PSC and Project Working Committee (PWC) meetings. Ensure strict adherence to process assurance gates, regulatory and audit requirements, and bank-wide development methodologies applicable to financial institutions.
