Job description

The role of a Project Executive is to generate project plans and budgets, and be expected to deliver upon these. Structured development will provide strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture. He/She will also oversee the progress of operations.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics.

The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization.

  • Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure successful delivery of project outputs on schedule and within budgets.
  • Develop detailed work breakdown structures and project plans to ensure delivery of agreed outcomes, working closely with clients and the executive team.
  • Set budgets for programmes and agree costs with PM Lead and COO.
  • Identify, organize, and monitor interconnected projects.
  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-project activities.
  • Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff.
  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities.
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management principles.
  • Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors.
  • Resolve higher scope issues of projects.
  • Prepare reports for program directors.

Requirements

  • PhD/Master’s in Science with commercial experience within the life science sector.
  • Additional experience in project management through working in biotech, biopharma, CMO, CRO, clinical trials, or supply chain.
  • Flexible approach to work assignments, ability to manage multiple and varied tasks, and prioritize workload while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at sites and with service providers.
  • Personal drive to help push the sector to be a commercial success.
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or in a managerial position.
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project, etc.) is a strong advantage.
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
