Job description

Your Mission

• HMGICS serves as our core manufacturing testbed, focused on creating a cutting-edge, software-defined factory for autonomous and flexible production of future mobility solutions. Within the Technology Innovation Group, the Software & Data Engineering Team develops intelligent systems and environments (IoT, MLOps, Visualization, and Simulations) to enhance productivity, quality, logistics, and manufacturing.

• This position will be responsible for monitoring the performance of various factory work processes and new technology pilots. He/She will support the development and realization of the HMGICS Technology Roadmap, ensuring seamless integration of innovative technologies and efficient project management practices.

What To Expect

[Project Leadership]
• Lead end-to-end management of digital transformation projects from initiation to completion.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Create detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional team, monitor project performance and report progress.
• Champion Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate.

[Technology Roadmap Development]
• Collaborate with HMG stakeholders to plan and implement the technology roadmap.
• Design, develop, and maintain digital transformation use cases and technology catalogue
• Design, develop, and maintain ecosystem of technology and innovation partners, in collaboration with HMG stakeholders

[Work Process Management and Pain Point Identification]
• Define and implement methodologies to measure performance and project ROI.
• Engage with manufacturing stakeholders to gather data and identify critical pain points.
• Analyze data to identify operational bottlenecks and system limitations.

[Technology Solution Deployment and Change Management]
• Manage procurement, integration, and commissioning of robotic systems (e.g., arms, cobots, AMRs, AGVs, vision systems).
• Oversee the integration of robotics solutions with MES, ERP, SCADA, PLCs, IoT platforms, and safety systems.
• Leverage data analysis and collaborative workshops to develop practical and sustainable solutions.
• Monitor post-deployment performance and ensure a smooth handover to production teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends in robotics, automation, smart manufacturing, and best practices to drive continuous innovation
• Drive change management and stakeholder engagement throughout the organization.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on robotics or industrial automation projects.
• Strong understanding of robotics technologies (e.g., ABB, KUKA, FANUC, UR, MiR) and automation architectures.
• Familiarity with control systems, PLCs, HMIs, safety standards (e.g., ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA), and system integration.
• Experience with systems such as WMS, MES, PLCs, SCADA, or ERP.
• Strong technical expertise in process innovation consulting projects, IT/OT system development projects, and data analysis or business intelligence implementation.
• In-depth understanding of the manufacturing industry.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana).
