We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) with a strong background in application development and hands-on experience managing public sector or government-related projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT solutions that align with government or agency standards, timelines, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management of custom-built or COTS-based application development initiatives.
• Manage project scope, schedule, resources, risks, and budget across the project lifecycle.
• Engage with stakeholders from public sector agencies and ensure alignment with governance and compliance frameworks.
• Define project plans, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with business and technical teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, QA, infrastructure, and external vendors.
• Conduct regular status reporting and stakeholder updates.
• Identify and resolve project risks and issues, escalating where necessary.
• Ensure adherence to government IT security, procurement, and audit policies.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), system rollout, and post-deployment reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in application development projects.
• Proven experience working on government/public sector IT initiatives (e.g., e-services, citizen portals, legacy system upgrades, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and client-facing communication skills.
• Familiar with project budgeting, procurement processes, and SLA management in a public sector context.
