Job description

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • You should have B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent qualification or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management, or background in a Librarian role.
  • Effectively applies Project Management methodology, PS procedures, processes, etc.
  • End to end project delivery of software projects and services.
  • Cross-functional teams’ coordination to ensure the project is completed on time, within scope and budget, and meeting the quality standards.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several complex tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver training.
  • Ability to learn new information quickly and keep up with rapidly changing products and processes.

It would be great if you are . . .

  • Background in library workflows/standards strongly preferred.
  • Background as a librarian with a keen interest in software and project management.
  • Project manager with experience in SAAS implementation in the higher education industry.
  • Experience with Ex Libris/Innovative products would be an advantage.
  • Experience in Public and Academic software industry.
  • Experience working with government institutions in Singapore.
  • PMP / PRINCE2 certified.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Implementing software products and services across APAC.
  • Participate and contribute to process improvement, global initiative, and work standardization across APAC.
  • Act as the overall primary point of contact for the customer project team.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope.
  • Manage project risk through mitigation planning.
  • Facilitate team and customer meetings.
  • Hold regular status meetings with the project team.
  • Keep the executive team and stakeholders informed of project progress.
  • Effectively apply Project Management methodology, PS procedures, processes, etc.
  • Perform software product configuration, based on customer’s requirements.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues and requests, providing first line support to customers during the implementation cycle.
  • Interpret and understand customer requirements and workflows and translate into software solutions.
  • Provide product training to customers, via Web-based or on-site training.
  • Review and contribute to training materials, implementation tools, and documents used internally and by customers.
  • Coordinate extensively with other teams including Cloud Services, Installation, Support, Sales, and Product Management.
  • Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
