Job description

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for providing project management to ensure the safe, successful, cost-efficient, and timely delivery of multiple projects, including effective risk management and problem resolution.

· Ensure adequate resources and skills are assigned to projects. Assist the Construction Director with recruitment, selection, and staff development.

· Manage risk and client expectations through early issue identification via project reports and meetings.

· Promote health & safety standards across all projects and take action to minimize safety risks.

Key Deliverables

· Responsible for the Project Execution Plan (PEP).

· Manage clients, consultants, and project teams to deliver projects successfully.

· Oversee financial viability, timely delivery, and client satisfaction.

· Handle tendering, site feasibility, contractor recommendations, project implementation, and handover.

· Interface with clients/end users and ensure team training on project matters.

· Maintain professional standards within project constraints.

· Provide regular project updates and reports to clients.

· Monitor and manage consultant performance and project costs, including tender documents and progress claims.

· Coordinate project handover to commercial teams and clients.

Proposal Stage

· Attend pre- and post-tender meetings to review technical aspects.

· Prepare technical proposals with team support and present to the Construction Director.

Pre-Construction Stage

· Review contractual documentation and plan pre-construction activities.

· Advise on procurement schedules and construction programs.

· Lead project start-up meetings and oversee design workshops.

· Monitor procurement and trade contractor selections.

· Oversee development of master programs, method statements, and site mobilization.

Construction Stage

· Monitor site progress, advise on risks, and address deviations.

· Manage design information, procurement, project meetings, and commercial aspects.

· Take responsibility for project profit and loss.

· Maintain project documentation according to best practices.

Completion Stage

· Chair completion meetings and oversee close-out activities.

· Coordinate project handover and client occupation.

· Obtain necessary certificates and ensure documentation is complete.

Post Completion

· Submit project close-out reports and conduct final inspections.

Essential Skills

· Knowledge of construction, especially fit-out/refurbishment.

· Understanding of pre- and post-construction processes.

· Ability to manage projects from design to completion.

· Experience in senior project management roles on large projects.
