What you will be working on:
The incumbent is responsible for overseeing and managing training facility in Prison. The officer will be tasked to project manage a team of vendors to design, build, and develop a training facility in Prisons. Responsibilities include managing procurement contracts, coordination, and development of the training facility.
The officer is also expected to manage vendors and collaborate with stakeholders to develop the training facility. Through skills training of inmates, the officer will play a crucial role in improving offender’s employability outcomes and career mobility.
- Planning and Project Management: Develop project timelines, manage vendor appointments, and develop a Concept of Operations for the facility. This includes managing space allocation, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining the facility lifecycle.
- Training Management: Plan and procure training services, collaborate with SPS for offender training, and develop communication materials.
- Stakeholder Management and Collaborations: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely training and resolve issues.
- Others: Budget planning, procurement, managing contracts, and issuing training certificates.
What we are looking for:
- Degree or equivalent in built environment, facilities management, engineering, Project Management certification, or related fields.
- 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in built environment, facilities management, programme management, or public sector procurement.
- Skills include project planning, organization, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Passion for serving in the rehabilitation and aftercare sector.
