Job summary

ym facade pte. ltd. is seeking a Façade Project Engineer to lead projects from award to handover in Singapore. You will coordinate schedules, procurement, production, logistics, subcontractors, and site activities to ensure safety, timeliness, budget control and quality compliance.

You will collaborate with clients, consultants and internal teams, read and interpret architectural and façade drawings, manage shop drawings and technical submissions, and help resolve site issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a relevant engineering/architecture field.
• Minimum 3 years in façade, curtain wall, glazing or related projects.
• Understanding of façade systems and installation methods.
• Experience coordinating shop drawings, submissions, production and logistics.
• Able to read architectural, structural, façade drawings and specs.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD or MS Project advantageous.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to travel locally or overseas when required.

• Support tender interviews, technical presentations, value engineering, and pre-award planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage or support the management of façade projects from project award through design development, production, installation, handover, and defect liability period.
• Plan and coordinate project schedules, procurement, production, logistics, subcontractors, and site installation activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, main contractors, suppliers, factories, and internal teams throughout project execution.
• Coordinate shop drawings, material and sample submissions, mock-ups, method statements, and other technical submissions to ensure timely approvals.
• Work closely with drafting, engineering, production, procurement, logistics, and site teams to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor site progress, installation quality, safety, sequencing, and interfaces, and assist in resolving technical and site issues.
• Manage project documentation, including progress claims, variation orders (VOs), procurement, cost control, project reporting, and completion documentation.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, defects rectification, and final project handover.
• Support tender interviews, technical presentations, value engineering, and pre-award planning where required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in façade, curtain wall, cladding, glazing, or related specialist construction projects.
• Good understanding of façade systems, materials, fabrication, installation methods, interfaces, and site coordination.
• Experience coordinating shop drawings, technical submissions, production, logistics, and installation works.
• Able to read and interpret architectural, structural, and façade drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of project planning, procurement, subcontractor coordination, progress claims, and variation orders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or Microsoft Project is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and travel locally or overseas when required.
