Key Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Project Scoping
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from project inception to completion.
- Understand client requirements, propose technical solutions, and translate needs into actionable project scopes.
- Prepare detailed project quotes and commercial proposals based on technical feasibility and cost-efficiency.
- Conduct technical briefings and project kickoff meetings.
2. Project Planning & Leadership
- Define project timelines, resource plans, and milestones for drones and robotics system integrations or field deployments.
- Coordinate across engineering, flight operations, and support teams to ensure project alignment.
- Lead daily/weekly standups, status reviews, and risk assessments.
3. Technical Oversight
- Leverage knowledge in ArduPilot firmware, hardware configurations, mission planning, and system tuning.
- Review and guide integration of payloads, communication systems, flight controllers, and onboard sensors.
- Ensure adherence to airworthiness, safety protocols, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Field Operations & Trials
- Participate in or oversee flight trials, system calibrations, and environmental tests.
- Lead site surveys, pre-deployment checks, and trial documentation.
- Capture and escalate flight anomalies or issues for resolution by technical teams.
5. Post-Delivery Support
- Provide support during client onboarding and early-stage operation.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve field issues and implement post-deployment updates.
- Maintain strong client relationships through reliable support and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field.
- Proven experience working with ArduPilot stack (Pixhawk, MAVLink, Mission Planner, QGroundControl).
- 3+ years of project management or technical leadership experience in the drone/UAV domain.
- Strong client-facing communication and negotiation skills.
- Hands-on experience with drone hardware assembly, tuning, and testing.
Nice-to-Have:
- PMP or Agile certification.
- Familiarity with ROS, PX4, or UAVCAN.
- Working knowledge of GIS tools and post-processing workflows (e.g., Pix4D, Agisoft).
- Understanding of drone compliance, risk assessments, and safety case preparation.
