AWIN SURFACE COATING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects requiring steel fabrication knowledge and on-site installation.

You will develop schedules, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within scope. The role demands strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to resolve issues quickly while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager.
• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in relevant field with steel fabrication knowledge including site installation.
• Ability to prepare Work Method Statements and Project Schedules.
• Ability to lead a team and motivate members.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrate integrity, professionalism and technical competency.
• Critical part planning, timeline management, multi-tasking.
• Knowledge of building regulations, Health & Safety legislation, environmental best practices.
• Outgoing, self-motivated, goal-oriented.
• Languages: English, Tamil optional.

Responsabilidades

• Develop construction project schedules.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget and agreed success criteria.
• Oversee day-to-day construction management and provide updates.
• Respond to delays, emergencies, and problems.
• Ensure compliance with governmental and building regulations.
• Clarify project needs, requirements and schedule with staff, contractors and suppliers.
• Establish communication with client, consultants, government agencies, contractors and staff.
• Manage project team, site staff, works, materials and equipment effectively.
• Identify productivity issues and implement improvements.
• Identify project risks and create contingency plans.
• Responsible for all inspection activities.
• Monitor and supervise project team for compliance.
• Delegate work to fabrication team and oversee progress.
• Check and monitor project budget and unforeseen costs.
• Manage materials to avoid wastage and overstock.
• Manage assets and equipment rental for optimum utilization and cost.
• Control manpower and overtime costs within budget.
• Attend/lead meetings with clients, architects, engineers and workers.
• Prepare regular progress reports for each project.
• Document changes to specifications, scopes and drawings.

Roles & Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Develop construction project schedule
• Deliver project on time, to budget and to other agreed success criteria within corporate guidelines including the client requirements.
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project and provide timely updates
• Respond swiftly to work delays, emergencies, and other problems
• Ensure compliance to all governmental and building regulations
• Make sure all staff, contractors and suppliers are very clear on the project needs, requirements and schedule
• Establish good communication and working relationships with client, consultants, government agencies, contractors, suppliers and staff.
• Manage project team, all site staff, site works, materials and equipment effectively and efficiently
• Investigate unsatisfactory productivity / performance and initiate measures to improve
• Identify possible risks to project and stakeholders, as well as create contingency plans to mitigate these risks
• Responsible for all inspection activities
• Monitor and supervise entire project team to ensure compliance of work
• Delegate work to the fabrication team and oversee their activities / progress.
• Check and monitor project budget, as well as prepare for unforeseen costs
• Manage material at construction site to ensure zero wastage and no overstock of material
• Manage company assets and equipment rental to ensure optimal utilization and cost
• Manage manpower and overtime cost to ensure optimal cost benefit within or below budget
• Attend and/or chair meetings with clients, architects, engineers and workers
• Prepare regular progress reports for each project
• Ensure all changes to specifications, work scopes and drawings are properly documented
• Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the management

Requirements:

• Minimum experience of 5 years as a Project Manager,
• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Others or equivalent with Steel Fabrication knowledge inclusive of Site Installation.
• Able to prepare Work Method Statements, Project Schedules.
• Able to work flexibly and react to different situations and needs efficiently
• Able to lead a team and motivate team members
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrate high level of integrity, professionalism, and technical competency
• Critical part planning, strategic planning, timeline management, multi-tasking
• Very knowledgeable in project processes and procedures, Building regulations, Health & Safety legislation, environmental and best practices.

• Languages: English, Tamil optional

Work Info:

• Mon-Sat: 5.5 Week
• May require to work at site on requirement basis.
