Job summary

About You

You will manage the installation projects of Otis lifts, escalators and dumbwaiters for assigned projects from commencement to completion including handover to service team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure OTIS safety policy (WWJSSS) pertaining to construction activities are being adhered to.

  • Ensure the units are handed over in accordance to product safety requirements and applicable code of practices

  • Implement and maintain all ISO 9000 procedures. Ensure the units are handed over in accordance to OTIS quality standard in order to achieve the required equipment performance rate within one year after the handover

  • Ascertain the actual location of building and study details of the lifts/lift hoist -ways/escalators

  • Coordinate with Main Contractor, Consultants, and Client in order to comply with the contracts requirement

  • Lead and coordinate with other departments (Engineering, Supply Chain, Drawing, Finance) to achieve the full objectives of the project deliveries

  • Work with Main Contractor on delivery and storage of equipment and materials

  • Ensures that the site structural dimensions correspond with that in the shop drawings

  • Conducts regular site inspections on quality and safety issues

  • Monitors progress of construction and plan schedule for installation

  • Ensure sub-contractors fulfil their work scope in a timely manner without defects

  • Review project progress and provide guidance and advice for project team and help to resolve any problems with clients and sub-contractors

  • To achieve the required project completion date as specified in the contracts

  • Manage the project within budget and to achieve minimum net recovery margin target

  • Supervise and control the discipline, morale and performance of subordinates

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Engineering

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager. Prior experience in lift and escalator industry is preferred

  • Prior supervisory experience to manage a team of Engineers and subcontractors

  • Strong technical knowledge of installation works of lifts and escalators products

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suites such as Words, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Familiar with ISO procedures and code of practices

  • Excellent stakeholders management; communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask and result oriented

  • A leader and a team player, enjoy fast and dynamic multicultural work environment
