A dynamic manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects in the furnishing industry. The ideal candidate will manage all project aspects from planning to execution, ensuring compliance with quality standards and effective coordination with various stakeholders. Strong project management skills, along with proficiency in English and Chinese, are necessary for success in this role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Plan, manage and execute projects within the furnishing industry from start to finish
Allocate manpower and coordinate with production supervisors to ensure project efficiency
Conduct quality reviews and ensure all work meets company standards and regulatory requirements
Coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including vendors, subcontractors, and clients
Manage procurement, scheduling, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and smooth project flow
Prepare and control budgets, negotiate costs, and ensure projects remain within financial constraints
Prepare and update project progress reports and handover documentation, including pre-, during-, and post-project evidence
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide project execution
Maintain accurate project documentation and reports
Identify and resolve project issues promptly to minimise disruptions
Be available for on-site supervision and occasional after-hours work as required
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience in the furnishing or manufacturing industry
Diploma or degree in engineering, manufacturing, production management, project management, or other related technical discipline
Strong technical background with the ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents
Proven ability to plan, manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Experience working with multiple stakeholders
Strong budgeting, cost control, and scheduling skills
Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese for communication with local and overseas (China) teams
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and perform well under pressure
Willingness to work outside regular hours when project demands require
