Job summary

IBMS Technology Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a hands-on Project Manager to oversee the deployment, installation and commissioning of data centre infrastructure. You will coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Builders Work and Structural works, while ensuring timelines, quality and safety standards are met.

You will lead Project Engineers, liaise with clients and vendors, review design and construction documents, manage budgets, and report progress to management.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing data centre infrastructure projects.
  • Strong planning, coordination and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across locations and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation and commissioning activities of data centre.
  • Prepare and submit shop drawings, materials submissions, method statements, risk assessments and other required documentation.
  • Review and interpret design documents, tender drawings, shop drawings and pre-construction docs; highlight discrepancies and propose solutions.
  • Oversee deployment, installation and commissioning, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs and industry standards.
  • Lead a team of Project Engineers; manage multiple concurrent projects in various locations.
  • Monitor progress and update reports to align with the master schedule and budget.
  • Identify out-of-scope works; notify client and evaluate cost and schedule impacts.
  • Attend site meetings; prepare minutes; support SAT, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Prepare project reports and ensure site discipline and adherence to EHS standards.

Job Scope

The Project Manager will be responsible foroverseeing and coordinating the deployment, installation, and commissioning ofdata centre infrastructure. This includes managing Mechanical, Electrical,Builders Work and Structural Works, while ensuring adherence to projecttimelines, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The role requires strong technical capability coupled withproject planning and coordination skills. The Project Manager will work closelywith clients, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure smooth project executionfrom construction phase to data centre handover.

The Project Manager will lead a team of Project Engineersand be responsible for the Project Delivery of the Project Team.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation and commissioning activities of data centre.
  • Prepare and submit shop drawings, materials submissions, method statements, risk assessments and other required documentation.
  • Review and interpret design document, tender drawings, shop drawings and other pre-construction documentations and highlight discrepancies and propose suitable solutions.
  • Oversee the project deployment, installation and commissioning, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, industry standards and best practices.
  • Able to work independently and is expected to manage multiple concurrent projects in various locations.
  • Monitor project progress and update progress reports to ensure alignment with the master schedule.
  • Ensure project costing does not exceed approved budget.
  • Identify any works which are out of project scope and highlight to client as variation works. Evaluate the impact of the variation works (i.e. Cost and Schedule).
  • Attend site meetings (project update or technical meeting) with consultants, main contractors and clients. Prepare and submit meeting minutes.
  • Support site acceptance tests (SAT), troubleshooting activities, and issue resolution during deployment and commissioning.
  • Prepare project reports, documentation, and updates for management and clients.
  • Enforce site discipline, cleanliness, and adherence to EHS standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians, supervisors and contractors to ensure work quality and project compliance.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
  • Conduct site survey, provide engineering support and preliminary schedule to support the tendering process.
  • Lead the team of Project Engineers and oversee the Project Delivery.
