MOLEX SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. invites a Specialist, Project to support the Manufacturing Industrial Engineering team with hands-on coordination for sample runs, documentation, and cross-functional workflows.

The role collaborates with Purchasing, Process Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and external vendors to enable product development, packaging validation, and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma qualification; technical or engineering background is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering sample runs and product modification samples from initiation through completion, including documentation and tracking.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to sample run costing, packaging tooling records, and project tracking.
• Lead coordination of packaging development and drop test activities with Design Centers, Purchasing, Process, and QA teams.
• Arrange and manage courier services and logistics for sample shipments, including customer deliveries and internal transfers.
• Manage billing and payment arrangements related to sample runs, tooling, and logistics activities.
• Raise and track PRs in SAP, including approvals, POs, invoice monitoring and closure.
• Support BOM requests and interpret engineering drawings as needed.

Your Job

The Specialist, Project provides hands-on coordination and specialist support to the Manufacturing Industrial Engineering team. This role ensures effective execution of sample runs, engineering documentation, purchasing processes, and cross-functional coordination to support product development, packaging validation, and manufacturing readiness.

Our Team

You will work closely with PJM engineers and collaborate with internal teams such as Purchasing, Process Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and external vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to enable smooth project execution and operational support.

What You Will Do

• Coordinate engineering sample runs and product modification sample requests from initiation through completion, including documentation, tracking, and record maintenance
• Prepare and maintain reports related to sample run costing, packaging tooling records, and project tracking
• Lead coordination of product packaging development and drop test activities, working with Design Centers, Purchasing, Process, and QA teams
• Arrange and manage courier services and logistics for sample shipments, including customer deliveries and internal transfers
• Manage billing and payment arrangements related to sample runs, tooling, and logistics activities
• Raise and track Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP, including approvals, Purchase Orders (POs), invoice monitoring, and closure
• Support management of Bill of Materials (BOM) requests, including the ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Coordinate tooling and general purchase requisitions in support of engineering activities
• Provide structured administrative and clerical support to the MIE team to ensure workflow continuity
• Maintain storage locations and engineering areas in an organized and audit-ready condition together with MIE engineers
• Support Purchasing Requisition, Purchase Order, and Purchase Change requests
• Perform other project and engineering support duties as assigned by Management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Certificate or Diploma qualification; technical or engineering-related background is an advantage
• Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel (tracking, reporting, basic analysis)
• Experience in coordinating tasks, documentation, and cross-functional workflows
• Able to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and technical documents
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work with stakeholders at all levels
• Independent, responsible, and a strong team contributor

What Will Put You Ahead

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or project support environment
• Exposure to SAP (PR, PO, invoice tracking)
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or engineering processes
• Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and take ownership of responsibilities
