Job summary

Molex Singapore is seeking an Engineer, Project to lead and coordinate division‑level initiatives, driving projects from scope through execution in a manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain and Global Product Managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope. Strong ownership and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or project execution within manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, cost, risk).
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ownership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives and execution plans with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain charters, schedules, cost estimates and risk registers.
• Track progress, identify risks and mitigation plans.
• Support commissioning, start‑up and handover to operations.
• Provide engineering support for equipment selection, specs and design reviews.
• Coordinate with internal and external engineering disciplines on division‑led initiatives.
• Evaluate requirements and select suitable manufacturing sites.
• Provide regular updates via dashboards and meetings.
• Facilitate cross‑functional alignment and escalate issues with solutions.

Your Job

We are looking for an Engineer, Project to provide project management and engineering coordination support for division‑level initiatives. This role is responsible for driving projects from scope definition through execution, while ensuring alignment across operations, engineering, supply chain, and global stakeholders.

Our Team

You will work closely with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Global Product Managers across Molex entities. The role partners cross‑functionally to deliver projects safely, on time, and within scope.

What You Will Do

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and execution plans in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and maintain project documentation including charters, schedules, cost estimates, and risk registers
• Track project progress against milestones; identify risks, constraints, and mitigation plans
• Support commissioning, start‑up, and handover to operations, ensuring punch‑list closure
• Provide engineering support for equipment selection, specifications, and design reviews
• Coordinate with internal and external engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical) on division‑led initiatives
• Evaluate project requirements and support selection of suitable manufacturing sites
• Provide regular project updates through dashboards, reports, and meetings
• Facilitate cross‑functional alignment and elevate issues with recommended solutions
• Support division initiatives and perform other duties as assigned by Management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or project execution within a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, cost, risk)
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Demonstrated ownership, follow‑through, and stakeholder management capability
• Safety‑focused with practical engineering judgment and continuous improvement mindset

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in project management roles within manufacturing or operations
• Exposure to product or equipment transfers between manufacturing plants
• Experience using tools such as MS Project or Primavera, SAP/Maximo, AutoCAD, or document control systems
• Project management certification or training (e.g. PMP / CAPM)
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin to support business interactions with China‑based stakeholders
