Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Management Officer (PMO) to support banking business initiatives across various domains including Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), Derivatives, Bonds, GIRO, FAST, MEPS, and Cross-Border (XB) transactions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in project tracking, budgeting, and facilitating Agile practices in a fast-paced financial environment.

Project Tracking & Reporting

Maintain project schedules, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of key milestones.

  • Monitor project health and escalate risks or delays to senior stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and status updates for management.

Budgeting & Financial Management

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Track project costs, resource allocation, and vendor invoices.
  • Ensure financial data is aligned with project progress and contractual obligations.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure adherence to internal PMO governance frameworks and regulatory standards.

  • Organize and document project reviews, risk assessments, and post-implementation reviews.

Agile / Scrum Support

Support Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).

  • Coordinate with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to ensure Agile best practices.
  • Help manage the backlog and sprint tracking using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

Stakeholder Communication

Liaise with cross-functional teams including business users, IT, compliance, and vendors.

  • Facilitate clear communication and alignment among all project stakeholders.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 4–9 years of PMO experience, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Prior exposure to systems and operations related to FX, MM, Derivatives, Bonds, GIRO, FAST, MEPS, and/or Cross-Border (XB) is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps is a plus.

Methodologies: Knowledge of Scrum/Agile frameworks and PMO governance.

Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is an advantage.
