This Position reports to:
Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.

  • Ensuring that automation and control solutions engineering and commissioning for the allocated marine system projects efficiently and cost- effectively executed, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
  • Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.
  • Coaching the project engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations.
  • Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects.
  • Applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
  • Providing technical inputs to sales team & review technical proposals based on the requirements specified in customer specification.


Qualifications for the role
  • You are highly skilled in design & engineering of automation system for Marine and Offshore projects.
  • Ability to demonstrate your knowledge in ABB PLC series, 800XA System, various communication standards & protocols, S/W revision tracking tools, OPC & Networking.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge in commissioning of Power and Energy Management System (PEMS), ESS Solution, IAS, Remote Control System (RCS), Enhanced Powerplant protection system (EPPS) is desired.
  • Degree or Masters in relevant Engineering discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge on Marine Systems, classification society requirement for automation system, commissioning & trouble shooting is desired.
  • You are passionate about collaborating and delivering high level of customer satisfaction.
  • You are at ease communicating English.
