ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning: Ability to plan and execute steelwork construction projects aligned with business goals and timelines.
Structural Steel Expertise: Strong understanding of steel structure design, fabrication, erection methods, and safety standards.
Project Cost Management: Skilled in cost estimation, budgeting, procurement planning, and financial reporting.
Cost Control: Experience in monitoring project expenses, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
Site Management: Hands-on experience in supervising on-site steel erection, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with specifications.
Risk and Safety Management: Able to assess project risks and implement health & safety protocols in line with construction regulations.
Team Leadership: Effective at managing multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Stakeholder Communication: Strong communication skills for coordination with clients, engineers, fabricators, and suppliers.
Contract & Claims Handling: Understanding of construction contracts, variations, and dispute resolution in steelwork projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Specializing in Structural Steelwork and Architectural Metalwork, or Civil Engineering and Building Constructions.
Have experience as Quantity Surveyor with Construction Industry in preparing Cost Estimation, Bills of Quantities, Tender Documents, Quotations and Contracts an added advantage.
Able to understand all construction and shop-drawing.
Good Knowledge in MS office Word and Excel.
Preferable to be bilingual (English and Chinese).
Able to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet client set deadlines.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to start work within a short notice period or immediately preferred.
