Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Engineer for Power Generation projects in Singapore. You will execute engineering activities from project award through installation, testing, and commissioning, while preparing drawings and documentation to meet customer requirements.

The role requires hands-on diesel generator experience, strong knowledge of electrical power and genset control systems, and independent collaboration with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the diesel/gas engine, genset or Power Generation industry.
• Hands-on experience with diesel generator systems, including site installation, supervision and commissioning.
• Experience managing regional engineering projects will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of electrical power systems and genset control systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering activities for Power Generation projects from project award through installation, testing and Integrated Systems Testing.
• Prepare engineering drawings, technical documentation and submissions according to customer and project requirements.
• Ensure Balance of Plant engineering scope meets contractual and technical requirements.
• Review suppliers' engineering scope, drawings and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, Application Engineers, project teams and suppliers throughout project execution.
• Attend customer and technical meetings, track engineering action items and ensure timely closure.
• Follow up with suppliers on technical drawings, datasheets, quotations and engineering deliverables.
• Provide engineering support during equipment installation and site activities.
• Support regional site supervision, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning of diesel generator systems.
• Provide technical support during customer acceptance and commissioning activities.
• Review and manage technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Update and amend engineering drawings using AutoCAD where required.
• Travel across the APAC region to support project installation, commissioning and execution activities.
