Job summary

A leading company in the marine engineering sector is seeking a Project Coordinator to oversee project progress and scheduling. Ideal candidates will have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering, be willing to embark on vessels, and possess knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering required.
• No experience candidate is welcomed to apply.
• Marine knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control job progress, man-hours, and productivity.
• Plan project schedule based on key milestones.
• Liaise with makers and suppliers to control manpower.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Education

Job Descriptions:

• Monitor and control job progress, man-hours and productivity of all project-related works
• Plan the project schedule based on key milestones and critical activities
• Identity critical path processes and at-risk activities, and manage the execution with Principals, Makers, Suppliers and Shipyards
• Check and review project drawings, manuals and certificates.
• Attend meetings and discussions with customers, designers, classification society
• Work closely with the Commercial department to manage the work schedule within the scope and terms of the contract and additional work requests from owners
• Work with the Commercial and Marketing department during the tendering phase to derive a project schedule that is competitive against the competitors
• Liaise with various makers and suppliers on control of manpower and production resources to meet the work requirement and project schedule
• Coordinate and take part in commissioning, and testing together with the operation department

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering
• No experience candidate is welcomed to apply!
• Marine background and knowledge would be an added advantage
• Willing to travel and onboard vessel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
