Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop repair processes for Component Repairs for Rolls-Royce Trent Engine Components.
- Lead and assist in the development of tooling for repairs and inspection, creation of manufacturing routers, and process instructions (data cards, recording forms, setup plans, etc.).
- Demonstrate first article approval for repair schemes per AS9102, AS130000, and Rolls-Royce's SARRe guidelines.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Customer team specialists to meet repair development targets.
- Assist in resolving technical and operational challenges, ensuring follow-through until approval and handover to shop operations.
- Support source approval validation packages and documentation for industrialization and approval.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Suppliers, and support teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives within schedule and budget.
- Interface effectively with vendors and internal teams to execute repair development action items on time and within budget.
- Ensure all engineering designs and technical data are accurately documented for future reference and customer requirements.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Material, or relevant Engineering discipline with 5-8 years of repair development or design experience.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in Rolls-Royce repair schemes, engine manuals, cleaning, inspection chapters, special process manuals, and overhaul processes.
- Experience with Rolls-Royce component repair processes.
- Understanding of manufacturing and inspection tools such as heat treatment, thermal spray, glass bead & shot peening, arc welding, wide gap brazing, machining, etc.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tool/fixture design, and applications in repair.
- Preferably with expertise in Nozzle Guide Vanes and Stator Vanes repair.
