Job description

Adecco is partnering with a key government agency responsible for developing Singapore's world-class transport infrastructure. This organization plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless expansion and enhancement of the country's rail network to improve connectivity and commuter experience.

We are seeking a Project Engineer (Railway, Mechanical & Electrical) to be part of this transformative journey. If you are passionate about large-scale infrastructure projects and want to contribute to the future of Singapore's rail system, this opportunity is for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the project management of construction transit projects for new MRT lines and enhancements to existing lines.
  • Oversee the safety, quality, progress, and environmental impact of contractor works to ensure compliance with required specifications.
  • Work closely with system-wide and civil contractors, designers, architects, stakeholders, and the appointed Railway Operator to coordinate project activities.
  • Review technical submissions and participate in construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the project.
  • Specialize in one of the following core areas:
    • Rail Systems: Signalling, Communications System, System Integration & Coordination, Integrated Supervisory & Control System.
    • E&M Services: Rail Services, Depot Services, Power Supply.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of experience in railway engineering projects or project management.
  • Strong project management, decision-making, and leadership skills.
  • Good understanding of safety culture and its importance in railway infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical, resourceful, and result-oriented team player.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in safety, quality, contract, and program management, is an advantage.
  • Good appreciation of the constraints and interface requirements of civil, trackwork, electrical, and mechanical works.
  • Candidates with more relevant experience (e.g., Railway Signalling or Railway Project Management) will be considered for senior positions.
  • Ability to perform night work, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
