Job summary

OUNG CONSTRUCTION (S) PTE LTD is seeking a civil engineer with 2–6 years of experience in infrastructural or marine construction. The role involves planning and coordinating on-site/off-site schedules, reviewing drawings, and maintaining ISO-compliant documentation.

Applicants should have a Civil Engineering degree, strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to work under pressure. Fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or higher is required.
• 2–6 years in infrastructural/marine construction or related fields.
• Experience in dredging, reclamation, or near‑shore work is valued.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and BCA regulations.
• Able to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate on-site and off-site construction schedules.
• Track and report progress to teams, clients and consultants.
• Review drawings to align with project goals (civil, structural, architectural, M&E).
• Monitor site activities and produce daily/weekly/monthly updates.
• Promote a safe, compliant work environment and lead toolbox talks.
• Coordinate inspections with REs and RTOs and attend client/safety meetings.
• Prepare and manage submissions (RFIs, method statements, risk assessments, SWPs).
• Keep project documentation organized and audit-ready for ISO standards.

Job description

Job scope/ Responsibilities:

• Drive project timelines by planning and coordinating on-site and off-site construction schedules.
• Track and report progress across all stages-keeping teams, clients, and consultants in the loop.
• Review drawings (civil, structural, architectural, M&E) to ensure everything lines up with project goals.
• Monitor site activities closely and produce daily, weekly, and monthly updates.
• Champion a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
• Lead daily toolbox meetings and coordinate tasks with supervisors and safety teams.
• Liaise with REs and RTOs for inspections, and represent the team in client and safety meetings.
• Prepare and manage key submissions-RFIs, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, SWPs, drawings, and more.
• Keep project documentation organized and audit-ready for ISO standards.

Requirements:

• A Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimally 2 to 6 years of work experience in infrastructural or marine construction industry. Candidates with more experience will be considered for senior position. Fresh graduates will also be considered.
• Relevant project experiences in dredging, reclamation or near shore construction will be highly regarded.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and BCA regulations.
• Experience assisting in variable projects from time-to-time.
• Own vehicle will be highly advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
