Job description

Job Description :

  • Monitor and report on the progress of works to the OIC, Project Director, Client and his Contractors;
  • Attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings;
  • Attend QAQC meetings, to carry out audits and ensure that quality on all works being carried out;
  • Assist in verification of all reports and claims relating to civil & structural, geotechnical, architectural and M&E works submitted by the contractors;
  • Facilitate the supervision team in resolving main contractors’ queries and coordinate the Works and other contractors on site;
  • Liaise with all relevant authorities and stakeholders in obtaining the necessary approvals to commence works;
  • Assist client to facilitate the verification of reports and claims submitted by the main contractors and other ancillary contractors;
  • Feedback site issues, discrepancies, and irregularities to the OIC and his Contractors;
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials for presentations to client, Authorities, Stakeholders and interface parties to provide information and updates;
  • Assist in preparing minutes of meetings as per ii) & iii) and verifying the accuracies of the minutes of meeting prepared by the contractors;
  • xii. Undertake any other duties including administrative tasks related to the project as and when instructed by client.

Job Description

  • The Project Engineer shall possess at least five (5) years of relevant working experience in construction of mechanical/electrical work for projects of similar scale, complexity and nature of works;
  • The Project Engineer shall possess a Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or recognised Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the OIC.
  • The Project Engineer shall be able to work independently, a strong team player and to handle fast-paced projects;
  • The Project Engineer shall have good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders across all levels and have good presentation skills; and
  • The Project Engineer shall have good working knowledge of MS Office, and competent in the preparation of Powerpoint presentations.
