A leading security solutions firm in Singapore is seeking a project engineer to support sales and develop tailored security solutions. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of experience in the Electronic Security industry, with strong knowledge of security systems and software. Responsibilities include client engagement, solution design, and technical support. This role is fully onsite at the Ubi office.

Qualifications

  • Over 2 years of experience in project engineering within the Electronic Security industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Integrated Security Systems design and configuration.
  • Experience with security system software such as S2, C-Cure, Gallagher, Lenel, Milestone.

About The Role

As project engineer, you will support our sales and business development team by providing technical expertise during client engagements and assisting with the preparation of Bill Of Materials and sales quotations. Your role will involve conducting onsite visits, understanding client requirements, and developing tailored solutions to meet their needs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the technical accuracy and feasibility of proposals, contributing to the overall success of the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Support & Client Engagement

  • Conduct onsite visits to assess client requirements and gather technical information.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and present tailored solutions to clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed sales quotations, ensuring technical accuracy and feasibility.
  • Provide technical support during client meetings, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Address client inquiries and provide expert advice on security system solutions.

Technical Solution Development

  • Design and configure security systems (Access Control, CCTV, etc.) to meet client specifications.
  • Develop technical proposals, including system layouts, equipment specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with client needs and project delivery capabilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and estimating teams to optimize designs for competitiveness.
  • Support projects team with post-sales support and requirements if neccessary.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and project management.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary technical information.
  • Participate in bid kick-off, progress, and review meetings to ensure alignment with client requirements.

Process Improvement & Tools Management

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of pre-sales processes, templates, and documentation standards.
  • Ensure consistent use of digital collaboration platforms (Office 365, SharePoint, NetSuite).
  • Maintain and improve the pre-sales content repository and pricing templates.

You are a proactive problem-solver with over 2 years of experience in project engineering within the Electronic Security industry. Your expertise in Integrated Security Systems and software like S2, C-Cure, Gallagher, Lenel, and Milestone is complemented by strong communication and organizational skills. You thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities with ease, and have a passion for continuous learning and development. Your ability to build strong relationships and deliver high-quality results makes you a valuable asset to any team.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a project engineering or similar role within the Electronic Security industry. Experience with account management is a nice to have.
  • Strong knowledge of Integrated Security Systems design and configuration (e.g., Access Control, CCTV, etc.).
  • Experience with security system software such as S2, C-Cure, Gallagher, Lenel, Milestone
  • Technical Certificate or Diploma in Electrical /Electronic Engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; basic knowledge of IT networking and CAD is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Detail-oriented, with a keen focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
