Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd on Jurong Island seeks a Project Engineer (Digitalization) to drive digital solutions in chemical production. You will implement and maintain digital tools to improve efficiency, reliability and sustainability, and lead dashboards for performance monitoring.

You will collaborate with production, R&D and global teams, oversee feasibility studies, cost estimates, business cases and technology trials, and ensure sustained benefits from new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical production, process engineering, or chemical project engineering.
• Good understanding of chemical processes and plant operations.
• Experience in digitalization, process optimization, or APC is advantageous.
• Familiarity with machine learning, online analytics, soft sensors, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain digital technologies to optimize production efficiency, process reliability, and sustainability.
• Monitor and improve Smart Operations applications using dashboards, data analytics, and performance indicators.
• Support digital optimization solutions, including APC, online analytics, soft sensors, and other tools.
• Identify process deviations, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, R&D, site management, and global teams to develop and implement new technologies.
• Lead engineering projects, including feasibility studies, project planning, cost estimation, business cases, and technology trials.
• Manage technical changes, MOC processes, and engineering documentation (PFDs and P&IDs).
• Provide application training and ensure sustainable performance and benefits from implemented solutions.

Supporting the AN vision of transformation to cost leader in the amino acid commodity market using digital tools and technology. Continuous improvement of processes using state of the art digital technologies.

• Implement and maintain digital technologies to optimize production efficiency, process reliability, and sustainability.

• Good understanding of chemical processes, production equipment, and plant operations.
• Experience in digitalization, process optimization, or Advanced Process Control (APC) is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with machine learning, online analytics, soft sensors, and operational dashboards is preferred.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and costs, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing, particularly Methionine or chemical intermediates, is an advantage.
