1. Project Planning and Coordination
- Assist Project Manager in preparing project schedules, work programs, and progress plans.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor project progress and report any deviations or delays to the Project Manager.
- Assist in preparing method statements, work sequences, and technical submissions.
2. Site Supervision and Execution
- Supervise site works to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate site activities between different trades to avoid conflicts or delays.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control of workmanship and materials.
- Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings and within the project schedule.
3. Technical and Documentation Control
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, site records, and progress photos.
- Handle technical queries and liaise with consultants or clients for clarifications.
- Review material submittals, samples, and shop drawings prior to approval and installation.
- Track and update As-Built drawings and other project deliverables.
4. Cost and Resource Management
- Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.
- Assist in preparing quantity take-offs, material requisitions, and cost tracking.
- Support procurement team in sourcing and evaluating materials and subcontractors.
- Verify progress claims, variations, and site instructions.
5. Quality, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure all site activities comply with company’s Quality and Safety Management Systems.
- Participate in site safety meetings and toolbox briefings.
- Report and follow up on non-conformance and corrective actions.
- Support implementation of environmental and regulatory compliance.
6. Communication and Coordination
- Attend coordination and site meetings with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
- Maintain good working relationships with project stakeholders.
- Update Project Manager on site progress, issues, and proposed solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (depending on specialization).
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction or renovation projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and technical standards.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
