Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer to manage mechanical/electrical/BMS engineering projects. You will coordinate with contractors, supervise subcontractors, and ensure project success. Candidates with a diploma/degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and ideally 2 years of project management experience are encouraged to apply. This role offers exposure to data centers and requires travel to Johore, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant project management experience is ideal.
• Computer literacy in MS Office is required.
• Exposure to Data Centres is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Involve in design of mechanical/electrical/BMS engineering works.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Involve in conceptual and detailed design of mechanical/electrical/BMS engineering works
• Assist Manager in Project planning, budget cost control and execution of Project
• Coordinate with Main Con and other contractors for BMS installation work
• Supervise a group of subcontractors and ensure that works are executed within and acceptable standard of workmanship
• Prepare site progress report and necessary project documentation that may include method statement
• Ensure timely hand – over (delivery) of project while maintaining high quality standard of optimum cost (Cost effectiveness)
• Ensure that the relevant installation drawings are accessible at the point of use
• Review the nature of non-conformities detected in product/work and determine the disposition of the non-conformities
• Resolve technical issues relating to installation, commissioning and testing
• Responsibility for the successful completion of the projects and meet customers satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Ideally with 2 years of relevant project management related working experience
• Computer literate in MS Office
• Good communication, writing, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Good to have exposure/experience in Data Centres
• Willing to travel to Johore , Malaysia, for work assignments
