Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Project Engineer to join our Acoustics and Vibration team. This role involves supporting the delivery of projects across various sectors through field measurements, data analysis, technical reporting, simulations, and project coordination. The successful candidate will contribute to both on-site and office-based work and engage with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct noise and vibration measurements at project sites in accordance with relevant standards and protocols.
  • Process, interpret, and analyse acoustic and vibration data using industry-standard tools and software.
  • Prepare technical reports, including measurement results, analysis,conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Assist in project planning, coordination, and progress tracking to meet timelines and deliverables.
  • Attend and participate in client and stakeholder meetings to present findings and support project discussions.
  • Support the use of simulation and prediction software (e.g., for environmental noise modelling or structural vibration analysis); training will be provided.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Acoustics, Mechanical, Civil, or related field.
  • Strong interest in acoustics, vibration, or environmental engineering.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data handling and interpretation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable to conduct on-site testing and fieldwork
  • Familiarity with acoustic/vibration equipment and software is an advantage.
  • A team player with good organizational and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Skills (not mandatory):

  • Experience with noise prediction software (e.g., SoundPLAN, CadnaA) or structural simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS).
  • Knowledge of relevant acoustic/vibration standards (e.g., ISO, BS, NEA guidelines).
  • Prior consultancy or fieldwork experience.
