Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks a specialist to interpret construction specifications, organize material deliveries, and liaise with clients on technical matters. The ideal candidate will handle design changes, monitor fabrication progress, and coordinate with site engineers to ensure project schedules are met.

Responsibilities

• Interprets specifications, drawings, plans, and checks all steelwork shop drawings.
• Organizes and directs the delivery of construction materials and establishes detailed programs.
• Checks construction drawings for feasibility for erection on site.
• Records and monitors design changes and assesses their cost impact.
• Liaises with the client’s Technical Manager for engineering matters.
• Coordinates with the Project Site Engineer for any site-related issues.
• Monitors fabrication progress and coordinates with the Production Department.

Job description

• Interprets specifications, drawings, plans and checks all steelwork shop drawings done by the structural detailer if in accordance to client’s construction drawing prior to submission

• Organizes and directs the delivery of construction materials and establishing detailed programs and schedule of site activities

• Checks the construction drawings if feasible for erection on site and work closely with the structural detailer for any proposal if needed

• Records and monitors design changes and assess their cost impact for the project’s contract sum and coordinate with the Contract Department

• Liaises with the client’s Technical Manager for all engineering and technical matters focusing structural discipline

• Responsible for coordinating with the Project Site Engineer for any site related technical issues

• Monitors the fabrication progress and coordinate closely to Production Department to meet the required schedule and report it to the client
