Project Engineer

Job summary

CA M&E ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate and drive elevator and escalator projects from planning through testing and handover in Singapore.

You will attend weekly coordination meetings with clients and stakeholders, manage safety and site progress, prepare reports, and work with internal teams on procurement, installation, testing and commissioning to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of project management experience in lift/elevator and escalator or vertical transportation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD and etc systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly project coordination meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
• Participate in monthly site safety meetings and ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements.
• Attend monthly payment and project review meetings and follow up on outstanding project matters.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in line with clients' master programmes.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays and drive corrective actions to meet project milestones.
• Coordinate project purchase requisitions and documentation through SAP, including GR, SR and project costing.
• Coordinate submission of local purchase catalogues, material samples and sample boards for consultant approval.
• Prepare site progress reports, technical reports and other project documentation.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and site personnel to ensure works are completed according to schedule, drawings and specifications.
• Monitor installation activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical requirements and company procedures.
• Ensure all site activities comply with Singapore workplace safety requirements, building regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Maintain proper records of project progress, inspections, technical issues and corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and building owners on site access, permits and work arrangements.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, installation, procurement, testing and commissioning teams to resolve project issues.
• Identify project risks and implement appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
• Support testing, commissioning and final project handover, ensuring all required documentation is completed.
• Perform other project-related duties assigned by the Project Manager or management.

Other Information

• Salary: $3500 – $4500 Basic + Bonus, no Commission

• Location: East Area (Kaki Bukit) / Project Sites

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm (5 days per week)

• OT: Expected depending on project requirements

• Salary will commensurate with experiences and suitability
