A leading energy solutions provider in Singapore seeks a Project Engineer to assist in planning and executing energy-related projects. This role involves supporting Account Managers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring safety standards on-site. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 1-3 years of experience in the energy sector will thrive in this dynamic position. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will be based at 26 Senoko Avenue, with shuttle bus services available.
Working hand in hand with customers, partners and colleagues across City-OG and its shareholders (City Energy and Osaka Gas Singapore), the individual will be part of the team that provides bespoke consultancy services for its clients to enjoy a wealth of energy solutions to achieve their sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Support:
Assist Account Managers in the development of detailed project plans, including scope of work, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Contribute to the preparation of technical specifications, drawings, and other project-related documentation.
Conduct site assessments and gather necessary technical information for project design and planning.
Assist in the procurement process by preparing technical specifications for equipment and services and evaluating vendor proposals.
Project Execution and Coordination:
Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams and subcontractors on-site.
Manage and lead plan approval submissions, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely resolution of feedback or regulatory comments.
Monitor project progress against the schedule and identify potential delays or issues.
Coordinate project activities between various internal stakeholders (engineering, procurement, operations, safety) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, authorities).
Track project costs and assist in budget control.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant Singapore regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Technical Expertise and Problem Solving:
Apply engineering principles and technical knowledge to resolve project-related challenges.
Conduct technical reviews of designs and installations to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
Assist in troubleshooting technical issues that may arise during project execution.
Stay updated on the latest energy technologies and best practices relevant to our service offerings.
Quality Assurance and Safety:
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on project sites.
Participate in safety inspections and incident investigations as required.
Prepare quality control documentation and reports.
Communication and Reporting:
Maintain clear and effective communication with Account Managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Prepare regular progress reports and updates on project status.
Document project-related activities, including site visits, meetings memos, photos, and technical issues.
Assist in the preparation of project close-out documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields.
Ideally, 1-3 years of relevant experience in project engineering or coordination within the energy sector in Singapore.
Good understanding of energy systems and technologies, including gas, solar, boiler and cogen.
Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with relevant Singaporean regulations and standards is an advantage.
A strong commitment to safety and quality.
The successful candidate will be based at 26 Senoko Avenue. Company shuttle bus pickup/dropoff point at Sembawang MRT station.
