Job summary

A construction company is seeking a Project Engineer based in Singapore. The successful candidate will manage M&E projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure projects meet schedules. Applicants should hold a diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and have at least 2 years of related experience, but fresh graduates with a positive attitude are also welcome.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of M&E project experience. Fresh candidates with a positive attitude will also be considered.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with good prioritization skills.
• Possess valid Class 3 or Class 4 driving license is an added advantage.

Overview

Position Title: Project Engineer

Working Location: Project Site Based

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5.30pm) & Saturday (8.30am to 12,30pm)

Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with all Project staff for site works.
• Planning and scheduling of projects.
• Manage M&E construction projects and to monitor the projects to meet construction schedule.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors and subcontractors.
• Ability to liaise with suppliers on procurement and delivery of materials/equipment.
• Prepare shop and as-built drawings.
• Understand and perform the requirements according to the local standard and comply with the authority's requirements.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote safe work practices at all times.
• Preparation of materials and drawings for submission.
• Carry out testing and commissioning works.
• Prepare and submit variation orders’ documentation.
• Assist in closure of project final accounts.

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
• At least 2 years of M&E project experience. Fresh candidates with a positive attitude will also be considered.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with good prioritization skills.
• Good time management, communication skills with both verbal and written.
• Energetic, self-motivated, good problem-solving skills.
• Willing to learn, positive attitude.
• Possess valid Class 3 or Class 4 driving license will be an added advantage.
