Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
• At least 3 years' experience in engineering and construction projects in semiconductor/cleanroom/pharma/chemical/industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of PSM, HIRA and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar design software.
• Strong safety, quality and project delivery focus.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our Construction Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of semiconductor, cleanroom, and process piping projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at project sites to ensure smooth operations and adherence to project plans
• Monitor project progress against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and schedules to maintain quality and timelines
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities to facilitate effective project execution
• Review engineering drawings and technical documents to verify constructability and compliance with project requirements
• Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and material resources to optimize site operations
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project and industry standards
• Enforce compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, company safety policies, and environmental requirements
• Identify technical issues on site and propose engineering solutions to minimize delays and maintain project flow
• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure contractual obligations and quality standards are met
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation
• Participate in site meetings and coordinate follow-up actions with project stakeholders to resolve issues and align objectives
• Support project commissioning, testing, and handover activities to ensure smooth project completion
• Assist in preparing risk assessments, safe work procedures, and permit-to-work documentation to uphold safety standards
• Ensure all work complies with client specifications, quality requirements, and statutory regulations
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by Management to support project and company goals

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline
• Min 3 years of relevant experience in engineering and construction projects within semiconductor, cleanroom, pharmaceutical, chemical, or industrial sectors
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and project delivery
• Experience in process piping, HVAC systems, cleanroom facilities, utility systems, or chemical delivery systems
• Knowledge of engineering calculations, equipment selection, and detailed engineering design
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other engineering design software
• Strong project coordination and project management capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast‑paced project environment
• Candidates able to commence work immediately or within short notice are highly preferred
