Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated individual to assist the Project Manager in managing on-site construction and maintenance projects. The role focuses on construction supervision, safety and quality management, and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing construction site activities, ensuring work progresses smoothly within the defined timeline and budget.
- Prepare method statements, design plans, specifications, and documentation.
- Liaise with stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and authorities regarding permits, design issues, and drawings.
- Develop and manage project milestones and operational schedules for various phases of the project, including monitoring and reviewing progress.
- Determine project requirements and estimate resource needs, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure site works are carried out in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant authority requirements.
- Conduct or support on-site training for junior staff, subcontractors, and workers to ensure awareness and compliance with safety practices, quality standards, and technical procedures.
- Monitor project execution to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and client standards.
- Support contract administration by reviewing final plans, technical specifications, agreements, and special conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Civil, Structural, Environmental, Safety, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in construction or engineering project coordination.
- Specialization in Civil, Construction, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with Civil, Architectural, and Steel Structural works.
- Must possess CSCPM (Certified Safety and Construction Project Manager) certification.
- Experience in managing consultants and clients within process plant environments is an added advantage.
