Project Engineer

Job summary

L-QuBE Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and oversee ACMV and energy efficiency projects from initiation to completion. You will ensure safe, timely delivery and maintain quality across mechanical and electrical systems.

You will work closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, prepare progress reports, manage documentation, and participate in site coordination meetings while adapting to travel across island-wide client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Professional Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Electrical)
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects involving Mechanical systems (VAV, VRV, Chillers, etc.) and Electrical systems (Retrofit, LMCP, MCC Panel, BMS, ACMV)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute project contracts to ensure overall progress aligns with schedule and budget
• Monitor installation progress and coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to achieve timely project delivery
• Provide daily work status and project progress reports to the Project Manager
• Supervise site works to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Ensure site activities adhere to project scope and schedule requirements
• Prepare, review, and submit safety and technical documents including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Work Procedures, shop drawings, catalogues, technical data, testing & commissioning check sheets, and progress reports for M&E works
• Support resource planning, procurement, and negotiation of materials, equipment, and manpower within approved budgets
• Conduct technical discussions with stakeholders to resolve site and engineering issues promptly
• Liaise with authorities, subcontractors, and clients on submissions, inspections, testing, and commissioning requirements
• Resolve project conflicts and participate in site coordination meetings to maintain project alignment
• Collaborate closely with project teams and subcontractors to maintain quality control standards
• Assist in preparing progress claims, variation orders, cost tracking, and project reporting to clients
• Conduct operation and maintenance training for clients prior to project handover
• Adapt to flexible work schedules and travel to various client sites island-wide as required

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s or Professional Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Electrical), Project & Facilities Management, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects involving Mechanical systems (VAV, VRV, Cooling Tower, Chillers, Chilled Water Pipe, A&A works) and Electrical systems (Retrofit, LMCP, MCC Panel, BMS, ACMV)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD
