Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

The FPSO Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) projects. This role involves overseeing engineering deliverables, managing interfaces across disciplines, and ensuring project milestones are achieved in compliance with technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in managing day-to-day engineering activities for the FPSO project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with discipline engineers to ensure timely delivery of design and engineering documents.
  • Monitor and track engineering progress and report deviations from schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Interface with clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and project-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in technical reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, and other risk assessments.
  • Support procurement and construction teams by providing necessary engineering input and clarifications.
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure lessons learned are captured for future projects.
  • Provide support during fabrication, integration, commissioning, and offshore installation phases.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, or related field).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in project engineering, with at least 3 years in FPSO or offshore oil and gas projects.

Skills & Competencies

  • Solid understanding of FPSO systems, processes, and layout.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in engineering tools and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team environment.
  • Knowledge of international design codes and offshore regulations.

Certifications (optional But Preferred)

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Offshore survival certification (BOSIET or equivalent).
