A leading automation company in Singapore seeks a Project Manager to lead and manage projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in the automation industry, along with strong skills in project management and communication. The role requires occasional overseas travel and managing projects within budget and timeline constraints.
Summary of the Job: (Primary function of the job)
Lead and manage the projects from the project kick-off until bought off at customer site within allotted timeline and budget.
Job Responsibilities: (Key responsibilities of the job)
Engage and present the project status to customer.
Study and disseminate the information of user requirement and specification, timelines and budget allocated to the HODs and project team.
Monitor and ensure project material cost and labour hours spent within the budget.
Manage customer's expectation and contain the scope creep which may seriously affect the budget and ability to deliver project on time.
Coordinate across function group for issues arise.
Escalate to HODs if the problems are difficult and complex and ensure problems resolved on time.
Chair periodic project meetings and maintain issues tracker throughout the project execution.
Coordinate with sales and finance on project status and invoices to customer.
Prepare and present project postmortem after project commissioned.
Assist Sales in RFQs from Customer and bring in new project opportunities
Undertake other administration or technical assignments as and when required.
Job Requirements:
Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of experience in automation industry
Skills in process engineering, new product introduction
Independent, self-motivated, resourceful and organized
Experience in project management for industrial automation projects
Willing to travel overseas for assignments at short notice (10% travelling)
Good interpersonal communication skill
Good presentation skill
