Job summary

ANG TONG SENG BROTHERS ENTERPRISES PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Civil Engineer to coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities and subcontractors on project aspects. You will prepare method statements, review drawings, and assist site management on NCE applications while ensuring safety and quality across the works program.

The role requires a Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with at least 2 years of civil/construction experience and knowledge of AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in civil/construction.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the client, consultant, authorities and subcontractor on all project aspects.
• Provide technical and non-technical resolutions with documentation.
• Prepare and submit method statements and other technical proposals.
• Assist the site management on all NCE applications when required.
• Interpret construction drawings and raise RFIs for discrepancies.
• Prepare material schedules and monitor ordering/delivery.
• Establish controls to ensure works are carried out safely and in line with the works program.
• Maintain quality records and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor progress to align turnover and costs with the master program.
• Assist Project Manager in planning and supervising site activities for road, drain and external works.
• Perform any other duties assigned by site management.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the client, consultant, relevant authorities and subcontractor on all project aspects.
• Provide all technical and non-technical resolutions followed by documentation.
• Prepare and submit method statements and other technical proposals.
• Assist the site management on all NCE applications whenever required.
• Interpret construction drawing and rise up request for information (RFI) and clarification on the discrepancy between drawing, specification and BQ.
• Prepare material schedule, monitor material ordering and delivery.
• Establish and implement controls to ensure that works are carried out safely & accordingly to the works programe and produce short term workplans.
• Ensure that all corrective action or preventive action is implemented effectively and quality records are properly maintained.
• Monitor and control progress to make sure that turnover and cost is in line with master construction program.
• To assist the Project Manager in managing the site activities such as - Planning and supervising the construction of the road, drain and external works. - Monitor the progress of the works
• Any other duties assigned by the site management team.

Job Requirements
