Set priorities and direct inputs across Event Planning, Event Operations, Safety & Security, Venue Technology & Production, Venue Services & Logistics, and Business Services & Projects.
Hold project teams and advisers accountable for alignment between Arena requirements, project deliverables, consultant responses and approved decisions.
Provide executive-level status reporting, briefing papers, dashboards, recommendations and timely escalations to the Vice President, Arena.
Establish and maintain the Arena requirements register, design-change register and decision log.
Track requirements and proposed changes from initiation through review, approval, incorporation and verification.
Identify scope, programme, cost, operational and lifecycle implications arising from design decisions or changes.
Ensure decisions, assumptions and departures from requirements are clearly documented and escalated where necessary.
Establish and maintain the Arena drawing, submission and document registers.
Coordinate multidisciplinary reviews of drawings, specifications, schedules, samples, mock-ups and technical submissions.
Consolidate MBS Arena feedback, assign owners, monitor responses and drive formal close-out.
Maintain revision control, review status and auditable records within approved document-management platforms.
Coordinate Arena engagement with Development Project Management, architects, engineers, specialist consultants, contractors, integrators, vendors and internal MBS stakeholders.
Plan and facilitate technical workshops, design reviews, coordination sessions and issue-resolution meetings.
Maintain action registers with clear owners and deadlines, following through until resolution.
Translate operational concerns into clear project requirements and communicate project constraints back to Arena stakeholders.
Own the Arena-level view of delivery milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and decision deadlines, and intervene where outcomes are at risk.
Provide senior technical input to project cost, commercial and procurement strategies, including the implications of requirements, changes and technical selections.
Lead the preparation and review of scopes, technical requirements, procurement inputs, evaluations and recommendation papers where required.
Identify material delivery risks early, direct practical mitigation and escalated decisions requiring executive intervention.
Lead the Arena owner-side commissioning, acceptance, operational-readiness and handover strategy.
Set acceptance criteria and oversee readiness, test plans, inspections, defects, outstanding works, documentation, training and acceptance evidence.
Direct operational participation in systems testing, integrated testing, mock events and venue-readiness activities.
Confirm that as-built information, operating manuals, warranties, asset data and training records are complete and formally transferred to responsible teams.
Support transition of project knowledge, registers and records into the steady-state Arena organisation.
Develop frameworks for future capital works, technical upgrades, lifecycle replacement and venue-improvement projects.
Apply lessons learned and continuously improve project-control and coordination processes.
Degree or diploma in project management, engineering, construction management, architecture, building services, technology systems or a related discipline preferred.
PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project-management certification is advantageous.
At least 12–15 years of relevant experience, including senior leadership responsibility for technical project delivery, design management or owner-side programme oversight on large, complex developments.
Demonstrated accountability for multidisciplinary design reviews, requirements and change governance, programme and cost interfaces, procurement, technical assurance, commissioning, defects, handover and executive reporting is required.
