Job summary

Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association seeks a senior technologist to lead AI adoption across the precision engineering sector. The role balances executive stakeholder management with hands-on advisory, guiding SMEs through gap analyses and connecting them with solution providers to accelerate digital transformation.

Reporting to the Executive Director and working with the SPETA Council, the incumbent will shape the sector's AI roadmap, deliver deep-dive advisory sessions,

Responsibilities

• Shape the AI Roadmap - Partner with the management team to co-create and execute the sector's strategic AI development blueprint.
• Deliver Technical Advisory - Conduct deep-dive structural sessions with companies to assess technical readiness and map business bottlenecks to viable AI applications.
• Drive Ecosystem Outreach - Lead sector-wide engagement campaigns and orchestrate 4 high-impact technical AI workshops annually showcasing live manufacturing use cases.
• Engineer Ecosystem Matches - Connect companies with approved solution providers, managing the relationship end-to-end to ensure successful project deployment.
• Publish Industry Insights - Analyze adoption drivers versus barriers to co-create an official industry case-study playbook, tracking its performance and reach benchmarks.
• Champion Association Goals - Support strategic cross-functional initiatives, ad-hoc projects, and major association events alongside your core AI portfolio.

Role Overview:

This role acts as the technical domain expert driving Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption across the precision engineering sector.

This high-impact role balances executive stakeholder management with hands-on technical advisory.

The leader guides Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through operational gap analyses, manages a project team, and connects businesses with solution providers to accelerate digital transformation.

While the primary focus remains steadfastly on this AI capability development initiative, the candidate must remain agile to support broader association goals.

Reports directly to the Executive Director. Works in tandem with the Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA) Council and leadership team to set industry development directions.
