Job summary

KOH BROTHERS BUILDING & CIVIL ENGINEERING CONTRACTOR (PTE.) LTD. is seeking an experienced Project Director to join our senior management team in Singapore.

You will oversee and drive the successful execution of our projects, with a focus on geotechnical works and strategic leadership. You will lead resource planning, budgeting, tendering, and risk management while coordinating with multiple project sites and the HR function.

Qualifications

• At least a Degree in a field related to construction.
• 10–15 years of experience in construction, operations or logistics, especially in bored piling and geotechnical works.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to represent and make timely decisions.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in risk management, financial management and change control.
• Solid understanding of contractual, regulatory and company requirements.
• Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
• Willing to work in Changi area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee geotech work scope (diaphragm wall, bored piling, DSM, JGP, sheet piling, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
• Determine resources needs (inventory, purchasing, machinery, personnel).
• Monitor existing processes and analyze effectiveness.
• Create strategies to improve productivity and efficiency of direct work.
• Perform costing and tendering for foundation/ground improvement work.
• Coordinate with HR on manpower across project sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned by HOD or management.
• Duties may be revised to meet company requirements.

Job description

A highly experienced and strategic Project Director to join our senior management team. The PD will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the successful execution of our projects.

Role Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Geotech work scope: Diaphragm Wall, Bored Piling, DSM, JGP, sheet piling, etc such that operations run smoothly, efficiently and in line with the project team’s requirements or at the direction of the Chief Operations Officer.
• Determine inventory/ purchasing/machinery/ personnel and other resources’ needs eg. Ascertain/ decide the right resources for the right job.
• Monitor existing direct work processes and analyze its effectiveness.
• Create strategies to improve productivity and efficiency of the direct work.
• Perform costing and tendering of Foundation / Ground Improvement Work for the company.
• Together with the HR Department, coordinate with the various project sites on their manpower matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned by HOD or Management.
• The duties and responsibilities stated may be revised from time to time according to the company’s operational requirements.

Job Requirements

• At least a Degree in relevant field related to the construction industry.
• At least 10 to 15 years of working experience in construction, operation or logistics, especially in Bored Piling and Geotechnical engineering works.
• Strong Leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to represent and make timely decisions.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience in risk management, financial management, and change control.
