Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee mega projects. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's in civil engineering, 30 years of experience including 20 years in managerial roles, and proficiency in Japanese to liaise with the Japan headquarters. Familiarity with LTA requirements for MRT station projects is essential. Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary for effective project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering recognised by Singapore PE Board.
• Minimum 30 years of civil engineering experience, including 20 years in project managerial roles.
• Good command of Japanese for communication with Japan HQ.
• Experience in civil works design and construction works planning for LTA projects.
• At least 10 years as project director in LTA projects.
• Able to lead project teams and manage construction progress.
• Familiar with LTA MRT station and tunnelling projects requirements.

Job description

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering recognised by Singapore PE Board and higher degree in civil engineering or construction project management.
• Minimum 30 years of experience in civil engineering works design and execution and of which at least 20 years of experience in project managerial roles of mega projects.
• Good command in Japanese language is required as communication for obtaining technical support from Japan HQ is needed for overcomming the critical technical issues.
• Resourceful experience in civil works design, technical expertiseand construction works planning management for LTA projects and at least 10 years of experience in the role of project director in LTA projects.
• Able to lead the project team and overall responsible for the construction progress.
• Familiar with LTA MRT station and tunnelling projects requirements and specifications.
• Able to communicate well with LTA project team and LTA management team for project execution and discusssion with good negotiation skill and able to keep good communication channels and relationship.
