A leading construction company in Singapore is looking for an experienced Project Manager to ensure the successful and timely completion of building projects. The role involves managing all aspects of construction, from design to execution, while liaising closely with contractors and ensuring high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will hold a diploma in Civil/Construction Engineering and have over 15 years of hands-on experience in the field, along with strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
· Responsible for the effective implementation and successful completion of building projects undertaken by the company within schedule, cost, and quality standards.
· Liaise closely with the main contractor and subcontractors; set guidelines and provide expertise and supervision to the team. Manage each phase of the project from design to completion, ensuring efficient use of resources and enhancing cost-effectiveness. Manage, monitor, and regulate the schedule and quality of subcontractors' performance.
· Oversee all construction matters, including integration of programs, scheduling, manpower planning, materials, and sequencing of works.
· Perform other duties as assigned by company management.
Requirements and Skills
· Diploma or above in Civil/Construction Engineering or equivalent certification, or a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience managing a wide range of projects.
· Well-versed in contractual terms, conditions, and obligations.
· Strong construction background to discuss and advise on technical matters with main and subcontractors.
· Knowledgeable in construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
· In-depth understanding of RC structures, with expertise in formwork and rebar.
· Willing to work on weekends when required on-site.
· Excellent communication skills, highly organized, driven, and conscientious.
· Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients.
