Project Director
Location: Singapore

A leading pan-Asia real estate platform is looking to hire an experienced Project Director to join its Project Management & Construction team. This role is responsible for overseeing the successful build and delivery of high-quality development projects across the region, with a focus on projects in the life sciences and bio-tech space.

Role Overview:The Project Director will take end-to-end accountability for construction execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full project lifecycle management: planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
  • Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
  • Own and manage project budget, schedule, and client relationships.
  • Serve as the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) leader, driving a safety-first culture across the team and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement project execution strategies in collaboration with the client and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with design intent and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate on procurement strategy and cost management with commercial stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of “right first time” and zero-defect delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual milestones and reporting obligations.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience managing large, cross-functional, and multicultural project teams.
  • Deep experience in life sciences and pharmaceutical construction projects, including both Greenfield and Brownfield developments.
  • Strong commitment to EH&S best practices and project quality.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to work effectively under tight deadlines.
Education & Experience
  • Degree in Building, Construction Management, Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Architecture, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience, ideally with successful delivery of large scale projects in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, bio-technology sectors
  • Familiarity with managing multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
  • Experience in international and cross-cultural working environments.
