Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced (a minimum of 4 years) driven project coordinator/Project Engineer with a wealth of industry knowledge. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should be comfortable splitting their hours between the office, on-site visits, and attending client meetings.

The project coordinator/Project Engineer should be a critical thinker with sound subject knowledge of underground civil engineering works related to SP PowerGrid projects, capable of identifying and solving engineering problems. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate ideas, make recommendations, and negotiate project details with their team, subcontractors, and clients.

An ideal candidate should have:

  • Possess at least 4 years of experience in SP PowerGrid / telco road works coordination & site arrangements
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Experience in claim submission using AutoCAD
  • Knowledge in preparing traffic control plans, LTA ROA in accordance with LTA COP
  • Ability to collect plant maps and prepare NCE documents (with site meetings)
  • Familiarity with road works (underground pipe laying, cable laying, milling, and patching works)
  • Pavement supervisor certification is an added advantage
  • Ability to propose project schedules and work plans based on given drawings
  • Coordinate with main contractors and project officers (collect vouchers, work orders, draft claims, CC)
  • Experience with SP PowerGrid safety standards & conduct periodic site inspections, hostel, and store checks
  • Project safety certifications by SP PowerGrid are required
  • Safety management certification at construction sites is an added advantage
  • Class 3 driving license (Ferry workers) is an added advantage
  • Availability to respond to urgent calls 24/7 in case of emergency faults
  • Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
  • Leadership skills to manage a diverse team effectively
  • Ability to coordinate more than 4 projects simultaneously
