We are looking for Project/Construction Site Coordinator for our Building construction projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Overseeing, monitoring, and managing the progress of construction projects.
- Attend all the site coordination meeting and liaise with main contractor/ Architect / Consultant including solving of technical problems, submission of drawings, etc.
- Ensure quality of work is achieved and timely completion of work as committed with main contractor and compliances to Authorities’ requirements.
- Review the project documentation including drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensuring the safety of construction sites by making safety inspections and enforcing safety guidelines and protocols.
- Employ the required number of competent workers for a project after reaching an agreement with the client.
- Check and verify the cutting list prior to issue to factory for the fabrication.
- To work closely with our Design and QS teams regarding the contract / variation order before proceeding the work and to ensure the monthly progress claim submit on time.
- Any other ad-hoc duty assigned by the management.
- To review, conduct incident / accident investigation and provide recommendations for countermeasures and to prevent recurrence of accident
- To coordinate of daily toolbox meeting and upkeep the records
- To conduct daily safety inspection and other type of safety inspection as required at work site
- To coordinate the immediate rectification of unsafe conditions and correct any safety malpractices on site
- Monitor and oversee the enforcement of In-house Rule and Regulation and ensure safe work practices on site
- Coordinate and conduct the safety induction course to all site staffs
- Submission of Quarterly EHS performance & 6-monthly review of Risk Assessment
- Ensure and to carry out duties in accordance to WSH Act & Integrated Management System
- Assist WSHO to establish, update, maintain, and implement the Safety and Health Management System
- To assist WSHO for all safety promotional activities, safety audits, safety meetings and execution of safety programmes
- Responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all applicable workplace safety and EHS rules and regulations at site
- To support and administer all WSH-related initiatives
- Manage Workplace Safety & Health, EHS and fire safety related matters at site
- Provide recommendations for improving safety at site
- Prepare safety related reports and documentation
- Perform daily site inspection to conduct safety audits on personnel and equipment and take appropriate corrective actions if necessary to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
- Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout procedures, and safety protocols
- Prepare and conduct toolbox meeting at site
- Monitor and enforce safety standards in accordance with WSH Act
- Implement and enforce Permit-To-Work (PTW) system for all high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations etc.
- Investigate any safety incidents or near-misses to determine root causes, prevent recurrence and corrective actions
- Ability to work with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure safety standards are integrated into all project phases
- Ensure compliance of all workplace safety procedures and legislations
- Assist in ISO and BizSAFE audit
- Any other duties related to WSH at project sites
Job Requirements
- Possess Workplace Safety & Health (WSQ certificate) or Diploma in Environment / Health / Safety or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
- Able to work independently with all levels
- Good communication skills: The manager need to be able to communicate clearly with workers, clients, and managements to avoid information wrongly understood
- Ability to solve problem: The manager must be able to resolve issues with his/her workers on the site and get all parties satisfied, and to work together for the interest of the company
- Possess the ability to motivate workers on site especially when the work is challenging, and the pressure is high on workers to deliver
- Must be a team leader: The manager must have a great deal of team leadership skills to be able to keep the workers focused on the job and to increase
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, since he or she must convey information to main contractors, clients, architects, engineers, and staff.
