1. Project Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities to ensure work is completed according to schedule, scope, and budget
- Liaise with internal teams and external parties
- Track project progress and prepare regular status reports
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and contractual requirements
2. Material Calculation & Costing
- Perform material take-offs based on drawings, specifications, and site requirements
- Calculate quantities of materials required for each project phase
- Request and compare supplier quotations
- Prepare material cost summaries for project budgeting and customer proposals
3. Labour Costing & Planning
- Estimate labour requirements (man-hours) for various project activities
- Calculate labour costs based on manpower rates, overtime, and project duration
- Coordinate manpower deployment with site supervisors
- Monitor actual labour usage vs. planned cost and highlight variances
4. Quotation & Customer Proposal Support
- Prepare cost breakdowns (materials, labour, subcontract, overheads) for customer quotations
- Assist in preparing project proposals, pricing summaries, and variation orders
- Support management/sales team during tender submissions and negotiations
- Provide cost clarification and technical support to customers when required
5. Procurement & Documentation
- Coordinate purchasing of materials according to approved budgets and timelines
- Prepare purchase requisitions and track delivery schedules
- Maintain proper documentation: quotations, contracts, variation orders, and invoices
- Ensure all project documents are updated and properly filed
6. Cost Control & Reporting
- Track project expenses and compare against approved budgets
- Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in preparing progress claims and final project accounts
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, costing, or related role
- Experience in material estimation, labour costing, and quotation preparation is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, and technical specifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
