Job Description
Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Project Controller to support the financial and operational management of our engineering projects. This role works closely with project managers and business leaders to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and process coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and confident in communicating across teams.
Key Competencies & Responsibilities
1. Financial & Cost Control
- Maintain and update project reporting.
- Track project bookings, billing, and cost performance to support accurate forecasting.
- Assist with financial planning of projects and input to business reporting.
- Follow up with PMs to improve data accuracy related to cost performance, billing and project financials.
2. Reporting & Data Management
- Monitor complex metrics across a large portfolio of projects.
- Provide consistent and accurate weekly reporting to business leadership.
- Regularly update dashboards and reports using internal systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project status.
3. Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a liaison between project teams, billing, and finance teams to gather updates and resolve discrepancies.
- Undertake project reviews and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
- Assist project teams in preparing presentations and supporting materials for reviews.
4. Project Review & Governance
- Support preparation and execution of monthly and quarterly project review meetings.
- Manage coordination of large numbers of project meetings across multiple time zones.
- Keep project governance tools and trackers up to date.
5. Organizational & Administrative Support
- Organize project information, maintain accurate records, and support team productivity.
- Provide general administrative assistance to project and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project controls, project coordination, or financial operations in engineering, construction industries or similar
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
