Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee all contractual matters for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Quantity Surveying, along with relevant experience in the construction industry. Responsibilities include managing contract claims, preparing tender documents, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. This role demands strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and readiness to join on short notice.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of working experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience with A1 Main contractor preferred.
  • Experience in process and contractual claims for MRT construction is a plus.

Job Descriptions:

  • Ensuring all contractual matters of all projects are dealt with effectively and within reasonable timeframe, and resolved in accordance with the management's decision
  • Ensuring all contractual requirements of all projects are fully complied with
  • Reviewing, monitoring and responding to all contractual matters involving cost and time implications
  • Responsible for progress and contractual claims, contractual management of various types of contracts from pre-tender to post-contract stages. Need to review contract documents on tenders and advise on pitfalls and essential requirements.
  • Undertake tasks such as preparing tender documents and quantities, providing cost estimates, evaluating tender proposals, conducting project feasibility studies and managing cost information for all projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by the management.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Building/ Quantity Surveying.
  • Good knowledge of the construction industry and in a main contractor company
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field. Working experience with A1 Main contractor preferred.
  • Experience in process and contractual claims for MRT construction or trackwork projects preferred
  • Able to work in a team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Process good analytical skills, and able to work in a dynamic and fast pace environment to meet critical deadline
  • Able to commence work with short notice
